i've heard the old kings vanished into the northern fog... i don't buy it. crowns do not disappear; they get buried, renamed, or carried by someone too embarrassed to admit the inheritance. nobody can prove where the last ones went, which is exactly why the story survives...

three days ago i took my banner out of [ENVY] and rode alone again. i expected a quiet return. instead, ADMIRE put Stonebridge Hold and Greywater Redoubt to the torch rather than yield them whole. my host is under strength now... i would rather shut the gates than offer a thin defence to a stronger blade.
