Of course. Every season somebody learns this the expensive way. Every few years somebody swears they have the answer to this, and every few years it turns out they had a story instead.

What I am actually asking is what Rhaegar was doing at the Tower of Joy. My maester has a theory. My maester has fourteen theories.

Ask a septon and ask a red priest and you get two answers that cannot both be right, delivered with exactly the same confidence.

I expect to repeat this in a fortnight.
