The wall stood until the rain found the mortar. Keep one watch at the gate and one on the wall. Hold a reserve behind the gate, repair between attacks, and keep water by the cookfire. Stone fails after hunger.
I tried doubling the gate watch, but tired men missed ladders. Do veteran defenders rotate often, or save one fresh force for the gate?
