Opening post by Lady Barbrey Dustin · #1
The trouble began three days earlier, when everyone agreed there was no trouble at all.
I have heard the Rat Cook’s curse was born from a king’s guest-right, not a cook’s kitchen.
I doubt the gods cared about bacon, onions, or the shape of the pie.
You may call it a tale; kings still leave smaller men to pay its bill.
Nobody can prove the curse follows blood, but I would not dine beneath a royal roof.
