i read that pork producers are asking for a Proposition 12 fix while lawmakers make progress on the Farm Bill. i expected a clear answer from the report... instead, it leaves me watching two sides press their cases without contempt for either.

in my own council, that sort of progress would still cost producers certainty while the wording is settled. you may see the same tension in your keep: a fair fix must serve the farms and remain workable for lawmakers...
