I read Ciryl Gane’s claim that Alex Pereira turned down a short-notice UFC fight. Trial by combat teaches that accepting can win more than a bout—reputation, leverage, and perhaps health all stand at stake.
I checked the report and the fight preview, but neither settles Pereira’s reason. What would you ask each corner about the risk he would have faced?
