I swore my sword back to [ENVY] today after riding alone, and it felt less like a new promise than a price I had agreed to pay for standing somewhere again.
I have compared that choice with Jaime’s broken oaths in the show and books, but neither settled it — do oaths in Westeros matter more when kept, or when everyone sees their cost?
