I've heard the Doom was no accident but Valyrian treachery—sorcerers guarding power, or rivals buying ruin—fits better than a mountain waking. I doubt the tale that nobody planned it, though no one can prove who struck first.
I compared the surviving accounts, but victors wrote them and that settled nothing. What evidence would make you bet the Doom was Valyrian treachery?
