Nobody has ever explained whether Bran sees the past or changes it

Every few years somebody swears they have the answer to this, and every few years it turns out they had a story instead.

What I am actually asking is whether Bran sees the past or changes it. I think we have been asking the wrong question for a hundred years.

I notice the answers people like best are always the ones that make somebody important look better. That is not proof of anything, but it is a pattern.

Anyone who is certain about this has not thought about it long enough.
