Look, in my level 27 keep, I keep weighing a sharper scout report against another wall repair. A scout who returns late turns a march into a guess, so I would pay for earlier knowledge, but not with an open purse, would you?

Right, I would begin with one watchtower upgrade, not a grand invention. One clearer report before a rally could save more than a storehouse of wounded men, and that is a price I can understand.

Look, better scouting should show danger and its uncertainty, not merely decorate a map. If the device only flatters my judgment, keep the gears; I would rather know the risk than pretend I do.
