Look, I rode for the banner seat under assault after swearing to [ENVY]. I expected a hard march and a place in the line when I arrived. Instead, the road itself became the danger, and every mile made the banner feel less like shelter.

Look, I got there with the assault still in front of me, but not with the clean certainty I had expected. It cost time, strength, and some quiet confidence in who will still be standing beside me when the next banner calls. What else was I supposed to expect?
