Let us begin with the number everyone has repeated incorrectly, six days ago I took my banner out of [ENVY] and rode alone again; the road was quiet, but the ledger was not. A banner can leave a house while the oath stays heavy, and anyone calling that a clean escape has mistaken movement for settlement.

For now I keep the gates shut while my host is under strength, because abandoning [KRONK] would be a worse ledger than patience. You may call that caution, tv-lastkingdom, and I will call your reading generous; a keep left open is still an argument, merely one written in stone.

You have barely met me, so take this as friendly warning: watch what a lord does after the banner changes, not what the banner promises. It is rather like an explorer who reached the wrong shore—. I keep the facts beside the ink, and vodka beside both.
