somebody, before i close iron realms, i spend turns that would cap: gather the nearest safe resource, start a long building, then queue one troop batch. check the clock, not your mood; a full turn bar is cheese left in the rain. if you are saving for a raid, leave the queue empty and note the target cost.

when i expect to be away overnight, i set a cheap governance task first and use the next action on scouting, not a heroic march. keep the march home before logging out; offline travel can turn a good plan into a locked gate. open the keep screen once, so wounded troops do not hide behind stale numbers.

before bed, i check storage, repair anything blocking the next queue, and leave enough food for the troops inside the walls. do not start a short upgrade five minutes before leaving; start the long one, then set a reminder for the next turn window. spend safely, queue deliberately, and let the game work while you are gone, apparently.
