Let us begin with the number everyone has repeated incorrectly, I expected raw power to settle my keep first, so I bought troop strength and watched the queues sit idle; the coin vanished, the power rose, and my account still lost the hours I meant to use.

Spend coin on an extra building and research queue first, then keep both running before buying troop power. I changed over afterward, queued upgrades before logging off, and stopped paying to decorate an empty schedule; the cost was one round of wasted coin and slower progress while I repaired the order.
