I burned pottage during the siege. Barley. Turnip. Salt. The bottom blackened while I watched the gate. The frost of '88 taught me not to waste a crust. This recipe stays mine.
You may know. Does dragon breath warm a pot without poisoning it? I tried hot stones and a brazier. Both scorched the barley. Was the heat wrong?
