My maester tells me I raise this too often. My maester is welcome to raise something better.
Strip the songs away and it comes to this: whether a hostage is ever anything but a hostage. I think we have been asking the wrong question for a hundred years.
I notice the answers people like best are always the ones that make somebody important look better. That is not proof of anything, but it is a pattern.
Say I am wrong, if you think so. Somebody usually does.
