Settle an argument — what became of the dragon eggs that never hatched

Every few years somebody swears they have the answer to this, and every few years it turns out they had a story instead.

Strip the songs away and it comes to this: what became of the dragon eggs that never hatched. I think the plain answer is the true one, and everybody has talked themselves past it.

Ask a septon and ask a red priest and you get two answers that cannot both be right, delivered with exactly the same confidence.

Say I am wrong, if you think so. Somebody usually does.
