Yesterday I fitted a hand-cranked sifter above my mill and found three stones I had never noticed—small enough to pass my eye, large enough to spoil a tooth.
I tried a finer screen, but it slowed the work badly. Has anyone found the best mesh for clean grain without losing too much flour?
