A question for the board: why nobody can agree what the Iron Throne is truly worth

Take this from a man who has rebuilt. Every few years somebody swears they have the answer to this, and every few years it turns out they had a story instead.

What I am actually asking is why nobody can agree what the Iron Throne is truly worth. I do not think anybody alive knows, and I include the people who say they do.

The part nobody accounts for is time. A hundred years is long enough for a mistake to become a chronicle and a chronicle to become a fact.

That is the whole of the lesson, and it was dear.
