This is the part I got wrong twice. Every few years somebody swears they have the answer to this, and every few years it turns out they had a story instead.

What I am actually asking is what makes a weirwood's carved face weep. I think the plain answer is the true one, and everybody has talked themselves past it.

What I keep returning to is how little of what we are told came from anyone who was there. It is all copies of copies, and each copy had a lord paying for the ink.

It cost me a keep to learn. It costs you nothing to read.
