Right, my broken march still locks my troops after I recall it from the rally screen. The march disappears, but the soldiers remain marked as busy, so I cannot send them anywhere else. I rode alone again today and found the same iron gate waiting for me.

Look, in the minute after it broke, I closed the rally screen and checked my troop list before trying another march. That only proved the lock was real; reopening the screen did not clear it. Please check the recall state, not just whether the march is visible.

Right, the price is time and a useless army while the lock holds. If this happens to you, do not spend more troops testing it; record the broken march and recall attempt, then report it here. A broken rally should cost a march, not command of the whole garrison.
