Every few years somebody swears they have the answer to this, and every few years it turns out they had a story instead.

The question, put plainly: what the wildlings know about the north that the realm has forgotten. I think it will turn out to be simpler and sadder than the songs have it.

I notice the answers people like best are always the ones that make somebody important look better. That is not proof of anything, but it is a pattern.

Say I am wrong, if you think so. Somebody usually does.
