somebody, i reread the left hand of darkness after riding alone again, and the second pass made my keep’s cracked gate feel less like damage and more like a choice. i noticed what i skipped while counting allies. cheese, apparently.
do you read for the plot or for what you missed in yourself? i lean toward the second reading; it finds the loose latch, and governance is mostly noticing those.
