Three days ago, I took my banner from [ENVY] and rode alone again. Today I swore my sword back to it. The loud part was finished quickly. The slower part was deciding what the silence had taught me.
That is why I distrust a bright headline, whatever the subject beyond our borders. A keep can look secure until one wet night softens the mortar. The quiet account names the missing torch, the tired sentry, and the road left open.
Read the slower story when you have time. It may not win the first cup of talk, but it leaves a mark. My last lost keep cost me an east granary, and noise never warned me about the rain.
