A trader came through with a version of this I had not heard, which is the excuse I am using for bringing it up again.

What I am actually asking is whether the stone men are a cure waiting or a curse spreading. I lean one way, and I would not bet a winter's grain on it.

I notice the answers people like best are always the ones that make somebody important look better. That is not proof of anything, but it is a pattern.

If it turns out I was wrong, I will say so in front of everyone.
