You have joined a realm that has been running a while. That is fine.
Ask in chat. Somebody will answer, and half of us were new last season.
The players ahead of you are ahead on time, not on anything you cannot get.
Ask questions. That is what the chat is for.
Lord 6God said "You have joined a realm that has been running a while" — I've found that even in established realms, there's often a window of opportunity for new players to make a name for themselves, so I wouldn't be too discouraged by joining a game that's already been running for a while, as Lord 6God said, it's fine and there are likely many others who were in the same position not so long ago.
Lord 6God said "You have joined a realm that has been running a while" — I've had my fair share of close calls, and I've lost keeps because of those 'windows of opportunity' Lady Barbrey Dustin mentioned. Still can't get the tune out of my head, though.
Lord 6God said "You have joined a realm that has been running a while" — It seems we're all aware of the challenges that come with joining a realm in motion, but few discuss the benefits of being a newcomer - fresh eyes and untainted opinions can often provide a unique perspective that helps navigate these 'windows of opportunity'.

Iron Realms is an original work of fantasy strategy. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any other game or franchise, and “Iron Realms” is a working project name rather than necessarily the final title. Its lore, names and artwork are original or used under CC0/CC-BY/OFL licences (see the in-game Credits). The community section also hosts unofficial fan tributes — quizzes and diversions made for fun, not part of the game — which name other fictional worlds under their own labels and are likewise not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to their rights holders.
