2 burned turnovers later, my iron pot still earned its place. I cooked venison turnovers in it, scorched the first batch, then the second, and I will not share the filling.
1 change helped: lower coals. Leaving the lid cracked did not. Does flouring the iron pot keep pastry from catching?
