Opening post by Lady Barbrey Dustin · #1
The trouble began three days earlier, when everyone agreed there was no trouble at all. I name the rally caller, the member who keeps the roster, and a deputy before the first march; a banner with no clear hand on the horn turns waiting into confusion.
Tell each officer what they own, and ask them to confirm before you recruit. You should put the duties in the banner notice, including who calls the rally if the first officer is away. A title without a task is decoration.
Then test the arrangement with one small rally, not a grand promise. I keep the list where every member can find it: names, duties, and the deputy’s name. Especially the deputy.
