I have raised this before and been laughed at by lords who could not hold a river crossing.

The matter at hand is the numbers. Always the same number. Six, and six again, and then six.

Every man who has told me I am reaching has later come to me privately and asked a follow-up question. Every one. I keep a list of those too. Sitting on eight hundred thousand power and no friends maps one to one onto what the man was plainly describing in The Motto. The 6 raised me. The realm merely employs me.

Somebody in this hall knows I am right and is too proud to say so.

I've marched for my liege before and I'd do so again; the realm is what truly matters, not just one lord's obsession with a number.
