My maester tells me I raise this too often. My maester is welcome to raise something better.

What I am actually asking is whether the Dothraki believe in anything but the horse. Somebody in this hall knows more than they are letting on, and it is not me.

The thing that unsettles me is that the people best placed to know went to considerable trouble to leave no record. Men do not do that over nothing.

The hall will not settle it tonight, but it can enjoy the attempt.
