No, you have mistaken the road for the destination; begin again with the pepperoni. The Green Knight kept me off my phone; that green chapel felt like the locked gate at my keep. Frozen pepperoni could wait.
Readers, what does Gawain’s final choice mean to you? I tried a couple of explanations, but they disagree about the ending; neither settled it.

A promise with a season attached is at least a better ledger than a promise without one.
