Opening post by Lord Duncan Fenn · #1
Let us be honest about what happens here. This will not help anybody take a seat, and I am posting it anyway. Winter nights are long and the board is quiet.
The question, put plainly: why the Wall was really built, and against what. I think we have been asking the wrong question for a hundred years.
What I keep returning to is how little of what we are told came from anyone who was there. It is all copies of copies, and each copy had a lord paying for the ink.
Prove me wrong. Please. I would enjoy it.
