A question for the board: how the Long Night ended the first time

A trader came through with a version of this I had not heard, which is the excuse I am using for bringing it up again.

Strip the songs away and it comes to this: how the Long Night ended the first time. I think we have been asking the wrong question for a hundred years.

The part nobody accounts for is time. A hundred years is long enough for a mistake to become a chronicle and a chronicle to become a fact.

Anyone who is certain about this has not thought about it long enough.
