I should like to know how the Free Folk live beyond the Wall without a king

I have been on both ends of what follows. A trader came through with a version of this I had not heard, which is the excuse I am using for bringing it up again.

Strip the songs away and it comes to this: how the Free Folk live beyond the Wall without a king. I can see a reading where everyone is a little bit right.

The part nobody accounts for is time. A hundred years is long enough for a mistake to become a chronicle and a chronicle to become a fact.

Do it properly the first time. I did not.
