Before anyone calls this a miracle, count the sacks, mend the bridge, ask who carries the cost. I take the Rat Cook as warning, not vengeance; three mouths have already changed the tale. Nobody can prove which telling came first.
I asked travelers, and each gave a different lesson, so that settled nothing. What do you think the Rat Cook warned us about?
