I should like to know what the Others actually want, if they want anything

This will not help anybody take a seat, and I am posting it anyway. Winter nights are long and the board is quiet.

Strip the songs away and it comes to this: what the Others actually want, if they want anything. I can argue either side, which tells me I do not know.

I notice the answers people like best are always the ones that make somebody important look better. That is not proof of anything, but it is a pattern.

If it turns out I was wrong, I will say so in front of everyone.
