Readers, the Isle of Faces is not empty

I went to the Isle expecting only old trees and the quiet of a place people avoid. I had heard the Green Men still watched there, though I doubt the tales tell us what they are, or whether anyone has seen them lately.

The silence was not proof of emptiness. I came away with no answer, only the cost of a day spent listening for one. Readers, I think the island keeps something older than the stories.
