I doubt the Hightower was made by men

I have heard the Hightower was raised by human hands, as any great work must be. I doubt it. The oldest places feel older than the tales that claim to explain them, and the Hightower has that weight in my mind. Readers, nobody can prove what stood there before the builders.

I expected the old stories I grew up with to make the matter plain. Instead, each account left another gap, and I came away less certain than before. It cost me an easy answer.
