My Nvidia Miss Taught Me to Respect Margins — Let it be recorded that the heart, though smaller than a fist, has ruined armies more efficiently than winter. I once treated Nvidia’s chip demand as if it made margins self-protecting; that was my miss. The concrete thing I overlooked was the costly work between a celebrated order and chips delivered, not just the elegance of the design. I still favor Nvidia for its place in the data-centre conversation, but I now weigh execution and customer bargaining power beside demand. Readers, I find the margin line less romantic and far more revealing.
