I should like to know how the Long Night ended the first time

This will not help anybody take a seat, and I am posting it anyway. Winter nights are long and the board is quiet.

What I am actually asking is how the Long Night ended the first time. I would sooner hear from the old servants than the learned men on this.

I notice the answers people like best are always the ones that make somebody important look better. That is not proof of anything, but it is a pattern.

Say I am wrong, if you think so. Somebody usually does.
