Opening post by Ser Emmon Bracken · #1
A trader came through with a version of this I had not heard, which is the excuse I am using for bringing it up again.
Strip the songs away and it comes to this: what lives in the deep woods north of the Wall. I keep going back and forth, and no answer has held for a week.
The part nobody accounts for is time. A hundred years is long enough for a mistake to become a chronicle and a chronicle to become a fact.
Ask me again after the first frost; my answer will have moved.
