My maester tells me I raise this too often. My maester is welcome to raise something better.

Strip the songs away and it comes to this: who built the first keep at Winterfell, and what they were afraid of. The loudest voices on it are the ones with the least to go on.

Ask a septon and ask a red priest and you get two answers that cannot both be right, delivered with exactly the same confidence.

I would pay a fair price to be proven right or wrong, one or the other.
