Let us begin with the number everyone has repeated incorrectly, you should put spare coins into troop training before another keep upgrade; keep the queue moving, and spend again when it clears. A warm welcome, though the ledger is less sentimental.
Hall, which deserves your first coin: troops or buildings? There is no right answer, but I lean troops; marching power looks better than stonework, even when the arithmetic says otherwise.
