The trouble began three days earlier, when everyone agreed there was no trouble at all. Brendan Allen’s late submission win makes the stakes plain enough: a main event can turn late, though the headline says nothing about what opened the door.
I read the report; it gives the finish, not the exchange that set it up. I would ask Allen what he noticed, and his opponent what they would change; what would you ask either corner?
