This is written down, though few read it. I collect rumours the way some lords collect grain.
The realm keeps records of what happened. It keeps none of what was intended.
A rumour repeated by three lords who all heard it from the same lord is one rumour.
It is in the archive, for anyone who cares to check. Consult the ledger before the sword.
