A dusty index taught me to check the entry before copying it; I do the same with gear. Before you forge, open your main march and inspect every equipped slot, then compare the piece you plan to make with what is already there. A brighter rarity alone does not make an upgrade—
I match the gear to the troops I actually send, not a march I might build someday. Check the item’s stats and recipe first, and make sure the forge will improve the march you rely on.
I also check the material cost before I commit (small sums add up). Forge one useful piece at a time, then revisit the equipped slots; that keeps your next choice clear.
