Right, I opened my keep queue this morning and it had the same stubborn feel as Sunday yardwork: every task waiting patiently, none getting shorter because I looked at them. A full afternoon of mowing can make a man say yep to almost anything.

Look, the best King of the Hill weekends are the ones where the propane tank sits by the garage and the lawn gets another pass, while the actual problem remains exactly where it was. My keep’s work line has that same feeling, one chore behind the next.

Right, thirteen seasons of a man saying yep is a kind of comfort, isn’t it? You can leave the episode on while you sort a queue and still catch the small truth: a weekend does not need a grand turn, just a stubborn patch of grass and something to finish.
