i like how King of the Hill can make a mower pass along the property line feel like a whole day’s business. Hank knows exactly where his grass ends, and that is enough for a neighborly grudge to take root...

Five days ago Lord Duncan Fenn stood in the hall and said he was done with me; the whole kingdom heard. That felt like Arlen to me, where a small feud grows an audience before anyone decides what to do about it.

yesterday I swore my sword to [ENVY] again. reader, I keep thinking the feud ends at the walls or in the same rally, when neither of us makes anything of it... that seems a better ending than tending the grudge season after season.
