Reader, What Keeps My Keep Standing Without Power?

I took my banner out of [ENVY] today and rode alone again. A keep can look self-sufficient from the road, but I know how much depends on who is still beside the wall when the easy support is gone.

I grew up watching the forest seasons turn, and the first thing I would want to know in a long outage is whether the well pump still runs. Not a rumor about it—the nearest working water point, and whether anyone has checked it today.

Reader, by the end of the first week I’d want a reliable place and time to hear local updates, even if it is only a notice board by the well. What would you need to know first?
