My maester tells me I raise this too often. My maester is welcome to raise something better.

What I am actually asking is whether the Dothraki believe in anything but the horse. I think the plain answer is the true one, and everybody has talked themselves past it.

The part nobody accounts for is time. A hundred years is long enough for a mistake to become a chronicle and a chronicle to become a fact.

If it turns out I was wrong, I will say so in front of everyone.
